Bridge Gives Campaigns for October

Come Out With Pride (15th)

Come Out With Pride welcomes everyone from Central Florida and beyond to come together. The foundation supports the LGBQT community through grants and scholarship programs. The BIG Pride network is proud to support this event in Orlando on October 15. If you'd like to participate, please contact Alex Colasuonno.

Special Operations Warrior Foundation (15th)

Cindy Norris, a 67-year-old grandmother and cyclist, has been biking across America to raise money for the group and going for a world record! She will finish her journey in about 6 weeks in Delaware. Bridge has been asked to assist in making an amazing finish line experience for Cindy! This event will draw national media attention and Bridge can help make this a finish for all to remember!

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (16-30th)

This year, Bridge is proud to support the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer movement. Every dollar raised will directly support the American Cancer Society's innovative breast cancer research, help provide free information and support, ensure greater access to quality care, influence public policy, and provide patient support. Make a donation or view an event near you.

The LLS campaign continued this month with “Donate for a Plate” by offering The Varsity food truck serving its famous hotdogs and frosty oranges for those who made a donation. We also hosted “Jersey Day” where participants made a donation to the LLS campaign and wore their favorite jersey while having Jersey Mike’s for lunch.

BCRE/Office

The Bridge Office team attended the CREW Atlanta luncheon for one of the organization’s signature events, the Empowerment Speaker Series. The discussion on this year’s theme, “Connectedness,” was led by Ryan Jenkins, Wall Street Journal and Financial Times bestselling author of “Connectable.”

BPM

BPM team members in Florida got together for a team building activity trying their hand at indoor skydiving for Managers FUN Day.

BPM

BPM is now leasing at Salt Lake City’s new mixed-use development, Post District, in partnership with Lowe Property Group. Post District will transform the Granary District with its four distinct, high-quality apartment buildings and ultra-luxury amenities that will be unrivaled in the Salt Lake City market.

BPM

BPM celebrated their maintenance teams during Maintenance Appreciation Week this month.

Debt Capital Markets

In partnership with Wells Fargo Bank, Bridge hosted a webinar on “Interest Rate Hedging.” Bridge Senior Managing Director, Brock Andrus, sat down with Michael Emeghebo from the Wells Fargo Derivatives desk to discuss the way interest rate caps and swaps work, how it benefits the financing on the asset, and how the overall market and its volatility play into the financing world. Check it out here.

Bridge Development

Our Development project in Atlanta in conjunction with Lincoln Property Company is scheduled to open between October and next May. Echo Street West’s first phase will see 50,000 sq ft of retail space, 300,000 sq ft of offices, and Vibe, a 292-unit apartment community, where 20% of rentals will be reserved for households earning up to 80% of the area’s median income. Read more here.

BIG Pride

Bridge was a proud sponsor of the 2022 Utah Allies Gala.  The Allies Gala is an annual event benefiting Equality Utah, a LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, which is working towards a fair and just Utah. The Bridge team broke out their best “Cosmic Vogue” outfits and celebrated in style.

Bridge Gives in New York

Bridge’s New York City office had the pleasure of volunteering in the kitchen at God's Love We Deliver. God’s Love We Deliver works to improve the health and well-being of adults and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition by preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to people who, because of their illness, are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves. During the event, they prepared and packed hundreds of meals for residents in need.

Bridge Workforce & Affordable Housing

Bridge’s Workforce and Affordable strategy has been shortlisted for the 2022 Principles for Responsible Investment ("PRI") Awards in the “Real-World Impact of the Year” category. The #PRIAwards showcase leadership in responsible investing amongst its signatories and recognize individually excellent projects conducted by signatories of all sizes, specialisms, and levels of development.

Teamwork

September BIG Stars

Will Francis | Analyst, Paralegal

Everyone can always count on Will to offer his assistance with any task or project – no matter the scope. He truly wants what is best for the team without needing recognition or praise. The phrase, “that’s not my job” is not in his vocabulary. Will keeps a can-do attitude and is always willing to learn and listen when needed. He doesn’t complete tasks for the sake of checking them off his to-do list, but he does them thoughtfully and questions inefficiencies that he may spot along the way to further benefit the team. Will’s positive attitude and interesting anecdotes make coming to work fun.  He exemplifies teamwork and creativity and we are very fortunate to have him as part of the Bridge team.

For several months now, Lori has led property management not only in Atlanta, the largest market for Bridge Homes, but also in our Texas region following the departure of her colleague who managed the Houston market. More recently, she’s agreed to do the same in Indianapolis, and she also led a Bridge Homes management training retreat for all our Regional Vice Presidents. Lori is a bright and shining star at Bridge Homes.
